What is the base of the nest?

The nest base is the base of the artificially manufactured honeybee nest, which is the concave convex thin plate of the initially formed bottom and base of the nest after being pressed by the nest base machine. The nest base is generally supported by beeswax or non-toxic plastic raw materials, which are embedded in the nest frame when used, and then the worker bees will secrete beeswax on this basis to raise the wall of the nest to form a complete nest spleen.

How to install the honeycomb base?

1. Stay wire

Before installing the base piece of the bee nest, you must go through the pull wire step. Because the stay wire can prevent the base piece from breaking during use. Usually, when pulling wire in the beehive, most people use No. 24 iron wire. After it is straightened, it is broken into a wire about 2.3 meters long. Then it is put on the side beam of the beehive three to four times. Finally, the wire head is fixed.

2. Installation of beehive base

After pulling the wire, you can put the original nesting frame in, and let both sides of the nesting frame further reinforce the two ends of the wire.

3. Buried wire

Wire embedding is also a necessary process before installing the nest base piece. You can buy a special wire embedding device, and then put beeswax on it. For the drawn wire, it should be surrounded by beeswax, and the surface should be smooth. If you do not do this, you can also buy a professional embedding plate, which can be directly installed into the beehive according to the instructions.

4. Installation of bee nest base

After all the above steps are completed, the purchased nesting base pieces can be separated one by one, and then inserted into the card slot on the nesting base frame. When inserting, pay attention to that the buried lines evenly exist on both sides of the nesting base pieces.
